Our collections include photographs, maps, diaries, genealogies, publications, ephemera, and artifacts related to the Upper Kennebec Valley. Our coverage area includes the towns of Bingham, Moscow, and Caratunk; the plantations of Brighton, Pleasant Ridge, The Forks, West Forks; and adjacent unorganized territories including Concord, Carrying Place, Bowtown, Moxie, Parlin Pond, Mayfield, and others.
Our collection features 19th and 20th century artifacts that represent the history and culture of the Norridgewock area. Also included are glass plate slides, maps, books, postcards, genealogical data for many Norridgewock families, and deed research for over 30 historic Norridgewock homes.
Many artifacts from the history of Maine's oldest town including the reconstructed 17th century Andrews/Mitchell Garrison, a 2nd order Fresnel lens from Boon Island Lighthouse, documents from 1700s and a 13 foot model of John Paul Jones' ship Ranger.
