The Spring ME-NH trawl survey conducted by the State of Maine, Department of Marine Resources is scheduled to start April 28th, 2025, sampling between Portland, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, then working east to Lubec, Maine. The more information we have regarding our fisheries, the better equipped we are to defend these resources and your livelihoods. The ME-NH trawl survey provides valuable information for the management of important commercially harvested species.

The Draft Addendum considers repealing all Addendum XXVII measures pertaining to scheduled increases in gauge and escape vent size limits. The public hearing is open to all stakeholders, regardless of state residency. The public hearing details follow:

At the most recent lobster zone council meetings held in January and March 2025, Lobster Zones E and F had discussions pertaining to the number of commercial lobster license holders fishing secondary zone tags inside Lobster Zone E. Lobster Zone F expressed interest in meeting with Lobster Zone E to discuss the boundary line and fishing practices between the zones. As a result of these discussions, both zone councils establ
