Wendell J. MacDonald
Wendell served proudly in WWII and regaled the family with stories. He is no longer with us, he will always be in our hearts and minds. I vote in honor of him.

With great pride and as a small token of my appreciation, I am pleased to submit this tribute in loving honor of my Dad and also Vietnam veteran, Wendell ?Skip? Overlock, Sr., of Hermon.
Often times it is thought of but unfortunately left unsaid, but I want my father to know that I deeply admire him and am so proud of him for serving and standing up for our country especially during hard times in Vietnam. In my eyes, he?s a hero.
My Dad served with the 608th Transportation Unit in Vietnam. I was not yet born but he was fighting so that I may live in freedom my whole life. I will always be thankful for the sacrifice he made for his country, to be away from his family and friends not knowing if he would ever see them again. I am proud and honored to call him "Dad" and am so thankful that he made it back to raise me, my sister, and brother. I love you Dad!
Thank you for showing me the way. I pray that God will grace me with the wisdom to serve the people of the great State of Maine in Augusta. All gave some, some gave all, I will always love you, I always have. Thank you for serving, it's my turn to step up.
I am honoring the bravest and most honorable woman that I know. Because of her bravery during the Persian Gulf War, she initially reacted to save the life of a fellow comrade. The soldier was delivering ammo when his arm was partially severed from his body by shrapnel striking him. The explosion occurred due to his brakes catching on fire. Carolyn ran out of her tent after being on duty all night, tired and worn-out but in keeping her wits about her and her first aid training fresh to mind, she courageously applied pressure bandages to aid in saving this wounded soldier's life.
U.S. Coast Guard working on patrol/submarine watch during Korean War. Thank you for your service Dad!

Pep was one of the most influential people in my life. Without him, I wouldn't be where I am today. Forever in my heart!
He was a fighter pilot. He flew a P-51. I love to here him tell about when he was in the Air Force.
To my #1 HERO! Words cannot define the sacrifices you made. Thank you so much for giving us the life we live today. I Love You!!
