DMR Solicitation of Public Comment Regarding the Portland Harbor Dredge Project in the Fore River, Portland/South Portland

Pursuant to 38 M.R.S. §480-D, sub-§9, the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) is required to provide the Maine Department of Environmental Protection with an assessment of the impacts on the fishing industry of a proposed dredging operation. The Portland Harbor Commission, in cooperation with the Cities of Portland and South Portland and the MDOT, is proposing to dredge 28 areas of the immediate waterfront in Portland Harbor/Fore River to improve berthing and enhance sediment and water quality.
