My father-in-law is a Veteran of three wars. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. His ship "Tanney" was credited with saving the power plant during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He is a soldier that deserves to be honored!

Frank has served his country for over 20 years. He is a military retiree as well as being active in the veteran community. He was Director of Maine Veteran Services for almost eight years and he was appointed by President Clinton to the Board of Directors of the National Veterans Development Corporation. He is "true soldier" in every sense of the word. I honor him and every American soldier for their service.

I am voting in honor of my father, Francis A. Harding who in spite of being too old for the draft, on hearing of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, joined the US Army in 1942, made Captain (Infantry) and served in the OSS in Europe until discharged in 1946.

I am so proud of my dad. He survived being in Pearl Harbor. He is such a good man and I love him very much. He would like to go back to Hawaii again and I wish he could.

I vote in honor and reverence of the country that my granfather fought to protect. He served in WWII, specifically in Okinawa(Japan) on Sugar Hill, he was one of the few survivors. He earned the Bronze Star for his heroic actions. Even though he is deceased, I will forever be thankful for the honor that he showed for my country. In this day, many have not seen the effects of war.
