The Passamaquoddy Tribe’s elver quota will be met or exceeded today, March 27th, 2023.
Commissioner Keliher has consulted with Chief Newell and Chief Nicholas and they have agreed to the following:
ALL SALES BY PASSAMAQUODDY ELVER HARVESTERS MUST BE CONCLUDED BY 6:00 PM TODAY, MARCH 27th, AT WHICH TIME ALL PASSAMAQUODDY ELVER HARVESTER SWIPE CARDS WILL BE TURNED OFF.
The 6:00 P.M. closure of the Passamaquoddy elver fishery makes it illegal for Passamaquoddy license holders to fish for, possess, or sell elvers after 6:00 P.M. today. Elvers that cannot be sold should be release alive.
ALL PASSAMAQUODDY ELVER HARVESTER GEAR MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE WATER BY 6:00 PM, TODAY, MARCH 27th.
Dealers are prohibited from purchasing elvers from Passamaquoddy Tribal elver harvesters after 6:00 PM today.
