Programs across the Maine Office of Community Affairs, including the Housing Opportunity Program, Division of Building Codes and Standards, and the Manufactured Housing Program, develop resources for residents of manufactured housing communities. These resources are designed to support safe, well-managed manufactured housing communities; show local housing conditions in different parts of the state; and encourage expansion of affordable housing opportunities in manufactured home communities.
Manufactured Housing Community Data Dashboard
Developed by the Housing Opportunity Program, this interactive tool displays information about the state’s licensed manufactured housing communities. Data will include where communities are located, the number of lots in each community, and average rents of each community.
This tool provides information on licensed manufactured housing communities across the state for residents, policymakers, park owners, and housing practitioners. Data was collected during the 2025–2026 manufactured housing community licensing application and renewal process.
The map allows users to view information about manufactured housing communities and sort them by town, ownership type (resident owned communities), number of unoccupied lots, and elected representatives.
This data will be updated annually as part of the licensing process and shared publicly by MOCA. Such data updates will allow concerned stakeholders and the public to track, for the first time, annual lot increases at all Maine manufactured housing communities statewide.

Upcoming resources
MOCA is developing a guidebook to assist residents in resolving common safety and accessibility issues that occur in manufactured housing communities such as hazardous trees, roadway accessibility, trash, and water and wastewater concerns. This guidebook will provide contact information for state government and non-profit entities that can help communities resolve these common complaints.
