The Community Resilience Partnership (CRP, or "the Partnership") provides grants and technical assistance to communities in Maine to help them identify and address local priorities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, transition to clean energy, and become more resilient to climate effects such as extreme storms, flooding, rising sea levels, and threats to public health.
A recommendation of Maine’s climate action plan, Maine Won’t Wait, the Partnership was launched in 2021 to offer communities support for both climate mitigation and adaptation activities. As of September 2025, the Partnership is run through the State Resilience Office at the Maine Office of Community Affairs.
Enrollment in the Community Resilience Partnership is the first step to becoming eligible for the Partnership’s grants and technical assistance. Municipal governments, Tribal Governments, plantations, townships, and unorganized territories are all eligible to join the Partnership and can enroll at any time.
The benefits of joining the Partnership include:
- Access to funding and technical assistance opportunities
- Project development support through the Resilience Collaborative
- Access to trainings, resources, and events
