Service Providers assist communities in enrolling and reenrolling in the Community Resilience Partnership, and support projects with additional capacity and expertise. Service Providers include regional planning organizations, councils of governments, regional economic development organizations, county governments, non-profit organizations, academic institutions and cooperative extension programs, and for-profit enterprises.
To find a Service Provider for a community project or enrollment, consult this Service Provider List (PDF). Communities should look for organizations that work in their region, and organizations that have experience supporting similar types of projects or community processes. This list does not convey any level of vetting or approval by the Community Resilience Partnership, nor does it indicate preference or weight in grant application scoring.
Contact a Service Provider organization
Communities interested in working with a Service Provider can either reach out to the organizations directly or contact the Partnership to facilitate an introduction.
In initial communication with a Service Provider, communities should:
- Clearly describe their goals, resilience priorities, and current capacity.
- Outline resilience concerns or project ideas, any completed planning work, available funding or grant timelines, key stakeholders involved, and the type of support needed.
- Ask about the Service Provider's experience with similar work, approach to community engagement, availability, expected scope of work, and how they support communities through planning and implementation.
When deciding whether a Service Provider is a good fit for their needs, communities should consider their communication skills, familiarity with local and regional resilience challenges, and a collaborative approach that aligns with the community’s values and goals.
