Standing Order for Dispensing COVID-19 At Home Tests to MaineCare Beneficiaries
MaineCare covers Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved and FDA Emergency Use Authorized (EUA) over the counter (OTC) COVID-19 home tests through a Standing Order for MaineCare beneficiaries. COVID-19 tests will be covered with no member cost sharing.
The Standing Order authorizes licensed pharmacists to create a prescription for the OTC COVID-19 home tests for eligible MaineCare members. It can be accessed on the MaineCare website COVID-19 page, under for MaineCare Provider Resources>Pharmacy
Please use NPI number 1407110893 as the prescriber NPI on the claim. This NPI is only to be used for MaineCare members.
