Effective July 1, 2026, MaineCare is updating reimbursement rates for certain Medicare covered family planning services & LARCs.
Medicare Covered Family Planning Services Rates
The Medicare covered family planning services reflect 100% of the most recent Maine Medicare rates and are implemented for billing. The updated fee schedules are available on the Rate Setting page of the Health PAS Online Portal.
LARC Rates
The LARC rates reflect the Weighted Average Wholesale Acquisition Cost (WAC), which is based on the previous year MaineCare claims NDC and HCPC combined utilization. These changes are pending. We will send an additional e-message to confirm implementation and provide adjustment billing guidance.
