Section 67, Nursing Facility Reimbursement Reform: March 2024 Comment Summary with Department Response

In March of 2024, the Department with its vendor Guidehouse Inc., hosted two public forums to present the recommended draft rate methodology and rationale resulting from the rate determination process* that was initiated in 2023. Revisions were then made based on public and written comments received.  

A summary of comments with Department responses following the March forums are now posted on the Rate System Reform webpage. The Department encourages all interested parties to review the original March forum comments and responses prior to finalizing written comments on the revisions that were presented last week.  

As a reminder, comments limited to newly proposed changes are due by October 30, 2024, and can be submitted to RateReform.OMS@maine.gov.
