Rate Determination Initiation Notice for Section 23 Developmental and Behavioral Health Services – New Service: Foster Care Comprehensive Health Assessment

This bulletin provides notice that the Department has initiated a Rate Determination Process* for a new service, Foster Care Comprehensive Health Assessment, which is being added to Section 23 of the MaineCare Benefits Manual pursuant to P.L. 2019, Ch.162. MaineCare’s Rate Setting Unit will be conducting this rate determination.The newly determined rates will provide reimbursement under MaineCare for a comprehensive medical, dental, educational, and behavioral assessment, including obtaining relevant records, when a child enters the custody of the Department. 

There will be opportunities during the Rate Determination process for stakeholders to give input and provide comment, but we have not yet scheduled any sessions. We will announce dates as soon as sessions are scheduled.
