Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Notice to Home Health Providers for Certification Requirements

Providers of Section 40 Home Health services are now required to submit EVV visit records to comply with the 21st Century Cures Act.     

Providers must obtain a certification number before submitting EVV visit records. This includes members who have Third Party Liability (TPL) coverage. The certification process will enable you to create an EVV visit record at the time of the first scheduled visit. You can then attach the Plan of Care to the certification request within five days of the start of care.    

The Authorization Review Unit conducts a medical eligibility review of the Plan of Care then makes final disposition of the certification request.
