Attention Providers of Section 31, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC): Draft Rate Model Public Review and Comment​

The Department and our rate setting vendor, Burns and Associates, A Division of Health Management Associates, are collaborating with interested stakeholders to perform a rebasing of rates for FQHCs pursuant to P.L. 2021 Ch. 639 and Ch. 747. We initiated this rate determination on September 27, 2022. This message outlines the next steps in the process related to the draft rate methodology.     

Public Review and Comment     

MaineCare is holding an online public meeting on March 30, 2023, to present the draft rate methodology and rationale. The methodology will then be posted online and the Department’s vendor will accept written comments until April 13, 2023. The Department will respond in writing to comments, consistent with requirement found in P.L. 2021 Ch. 639, with an explanation of whether and how the feedback was incorporated into the final rate determination.      

As providers and interested stakeholders, your feedback is important to us, especially during the rate determination process. We encourage you to participate in this meeting as we discuss the draft rate methodology recommendations and collect feedback on these important changes.
