Attention Providers of Section 2: Draft Rate Model Public Review and Comment

Earlier this year MaineCare conducted a survey of Adult Family Care Home service providers. We used the provider responses to create draft rate models for the services as part of the rate determination process. We outlined this process during our kick-off meeting with providers on September 1, 2022. This message outlines the next steps in the process.  

PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT 

MaineCare is holding an online public meeting on November 17, 2022, to present draft rate models along with the rationales for the recommended models. The models will then be posted online, and the Department and its vendor will accept written comments until December 6, 2022. The Department will then respond in writing to comments with an explanation of whether and how the feedback was incorporated into the final rate determination.  

As providers and interested stakeholders, your feedback is important during the rate determination process. We encourage you to participate in these meetings as we discuss the draft rate model recommendations and collect feedback on these important changes.
