Attention Providers: Possible Delays in Prior Authorizations Due to Network Interruption
As communicated on February 23, 2024, Change Healthcare is experiencing a network interruption related to a cyber security issue. This is a national issue affecting health care systems and Medicaid members in many states, including Maine.
As a result of this disruption, providers may experience delays in the processing of certain prior authorizations submitted on or after February 21, 2023. MaineCare continues to prioritize urgent prior authorization requests.
We strongly encourage providers to submit prior authorization requests through the HealthPAS Online Portal, rather than by fax or mail. Providers will need to use their Trading Partner Account (TPA) to submit prior authorizations through the portal.
