Attention Dental Providers: Dental Rate Forum

To comply with P.L. 2021, ch. 398, MaineCare is updating its rate methodology for MaineCare Benefits Manual Chapter III, Section 25, Dental Services.  On April 27, 2022, we will hold a forum to present MaineCare’s rationale and recommendations for the new dental services rate methodology. We invite interested providers and members of the public to participate as we discuss the rate recommendations and gather feedback on these important upcoming changes.

We will also provide an overview of the upcoming changes to Section 25, including changes to both children’s and adults’ benefits.

Whether you are a dental provider who is currently serving MaineCare members, or a dental provider who is interested in serving MaineCare members, we want to hear from you.

We will have a separate forum later this spring that will focus on the expansion of the adult dental benefit coming this summer. That forum will include updates on coverage polices (including reduced prior authorization requirements), improvements to the provider enrollment process, and strategies for successfully serving MaineCare members.
