Boating Facilities Strategic Plan
The Boating Facilities Program of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, in cooperation with Maine's Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, produced a document titled, "Strategic Plan for Providing Public Access to Maine Waters for Boating and Fishing." It is used by the two agencies to direct their water access programs.

Boating Facilities Priority List
The Maine State Planning Office and Department of Marine Resources produced a report titled, "Coastal Water Access Priority Areas for Boating and Fishing." This report is also used to assist the Boating Facilities to direct its resources.
