Maine Office of Tourism
The Office of Tourism within the Department of Economic Community Development (DECD) promotes Maine as a tourism destination and supports the Maine’s tourism industry. If your business has a location that is open to visitors, the free resources provided by Destination Optimization program can be very helpful. These services are available to all Maine businesses.
SCORE
The Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) is a non-profit organization that provides free mentoring and educational services to small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs. SCORE's mission is to help small businesses grow and achieve their goals through education and mentoring. This national organization has chapters throughout the country, including three in Maine.
Maine SBDC
The Maine SBDC is a program of the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development and the University of Southern Maine. SBDC is a leader in small business development and provides no-cost, confidential business advising and training.
Island Institute
Island Institute works alongside Maine’s island and coastal leaders to build community sustainability in island and coastal communities and share solutions for addressing our coast’s most critical issues. The Institute’s creative economy hub has resources for Maine’s artists and makers.
