Welcome to the Domestic Trade program
Thanks to a significant funding opportunity through the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan, the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) launched a pilot program to help Maine’s pandemic-impacted businesses sell more goods and services within the United States.
The Domestic Trade Pilot program was proposed as part of the state's 10-year Economic Development Plan and supports Maine’s entrepreneurs to access or expand into new markets across the country.
Domestic trade refers to the trade Maine businesses engage in with other states in the United States. Domestic trade is important to grow Maine’s economy, support entrepreneurship, create jobs, and improve infrastructure for a higher quality of life for all.
