Rourke was reported Missing on 12-15-76. She lived in a mobile home with Albert P. Cochran. Rourke was last seen by her daughter. Her daughter reported overhearing her mother and Cochran arguing the night before she disappeared. Rourke was scheduled to be interviewed by State Police investigators in reference to the Janet Baxter homicide as a possible witness against Cochran.
Cochran was convicted of the murder of Janet Baxter in 1998 and denies any knowledge of Rourke's disappearance. Rourke's body has not been recovered.

Robinson was found dead behind the greenhouse where he had been living. Robbery was a possible motive. A number of people have been interviewed in this case.

Rines was last seen alive on 04-12-91 with friends in Pittsfield, Maine. Information was that Rines and his friends had been drinking and that Rines may have had an altercation with one of his friends.
Rines' body was discovered on 05-12-91 by divers that were searching the Mill Pond area, near where Rines' coat had been discovered.

On 12-07-87, Pease was found dead lying in his bed. The window over his bed was open. The TV was on, the wood stove was cold and a bag of groceries, with a newspaper dated 12-03-87, were located on the table.

Parent was last seen alive on 10-02-83 at approximately 2045 hours in his apartment. Parent told a witness that he was going to meet a subject at 2100 hours reference money that was owed to Parent by the subject. On 10-03-83 Parent was found dead in his apartment.

McAvoy, age 32, of Pittsfield, Maine was last seen alive at her residence on August 9, 1990 by her close friend. Friends notified local police on 10-01-90 after going to Shirley's house and discovering what appeared to be a large pool of dried blood under the living room couch. The blood was later determined to be that of McAvoy.
On 08-10-90, McAvoy's vehicle was reportedly involved in a traffic accident on the South East expressway in Boston, MA. The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, who was never identified, however was described as six feet tall, slender build, with light colored short hair.
On 11-20-90, the skeletal remains of McAvoy were found wrapped in a quilt in Spotsylvania, Virginia. Her vehicle was ultimately found in Georgia.

Town: Madison
Levesque was found dead in his residence on 04-06-94 at 1220 hours by a soft drink delivery man. Levesque owned and operated a bottle redemption center in a building behind his residence. Levesque's wife last saw her husband alive at 0815 hours, prior to leaving for work in Madison that same day. Levesque's business office was located inside his residence. His residence was on the same grounds as the redemption center. It is theorized that the murderer entered Levesque's residence to steal money. Levesque surprised the suspect, the suspect then killed Levesque.

Town: Newcastle
On 08-16-75 a female body was found in a culvert in Sherman Lake, located in the town of Newcastle, Maine. The victim was identified as that of Florence Lauze and she may have been hitchhiking from Massachusetts to Damariscotta where her father lived at the time. The victim was unidentified for several days after being found.

Town: Winthrop
Kowalczyk was home alone on 11-06-86. He was found dead in his home by Winthrop Police who were sent there by his wife when she was unable to raise him by telephone. Mrs. Kowalczyk was in New York at the time of his death searching for a new home for the couple. Police found signs of a struggle inside. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Kowalczyk worked as a Snap On Tool salesman.

Case Date: 1979
Town: Winslow
On 04-12-79 Huntley died in a fire at his home on Rt. 137 in Winslow. The fire was investigated initially by the Fire Marshal's Office. The investigation was later joined by the State Police on 07-02-79 when it was determined the fire was suspicious. Investigation revealed that the fire was concentrated in the living room area, where the body was located. The fire burned quickly and with intense heat. The fire was discovered by the town sanitary personnel while on their garbage route.
