On 4-5-76, a burned-out green 1971 Chrysler station wagon with Massachusetts registration was discovered on a woods road off Rte. 9 in Amherst. The burned body of a white male was found within the vehicle, and was subsequently identified as James Cassidy of Brookline, Massachusetts. Investigation determined that the vehicle fire was a result of arson. At the time of his death, Cassidy was an executive employee of the Brookline, Massachusetts Trust Company bank.

Town: Milford
On 10-13-1984, Beverly Polchies was picked up in Old Town by Old Town P.D. for being intoxicated. They contacted Indian Island P.D., who picked her up and took her to the reservation. At approximately 8:30 pm, she was dropped off on Route 2 in Milford by Indian Island P.D. At approximately 10:00 pm, a small white vehicle pulled into EMMC ER with Beverly Polchies. The driver immediately left the emergency room area. Driver described as a white male, slender, 5'6" to 5' 8", appx. 30 to 35 yoa, appx. 150-160 pounds. Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death a homicide.

Joseph Bichrest, formerly of Pennsylvania, was an attorney living in Greenville. In 1976, he disappeared, along with his jeep. Investigation revealed that a credit card in his name was used in Philadelphia two days after his disappearance. His jeep has never been found. Anonymous reports persist that he was murdered. Rumors that he and his jeep are in a quarry in Greenville abound, and several quarries have been searched over the years.

Town: Cherryfield
On the evening of 2-27-83, Kenneth Kramer left his home on Rt. 182 in Cherryfield with a person or persons unknown. He never returned home. His body was discovered by a passing motorist in Township 10 SD on Route 182 the next morning, just a few miles from his home.

Barry Pulkinen, dob 9-6-61, was found on the side of the road in Indian Purchase, just outside of Millinocket on 5-7-88. He died five days later at Maine Medical Center.

Pamela L. Campbell, dob 1-16-62, disappeared from Bangor, Maine on 8-15-81. She was reported Missing by her father to Bangor PD on 8-16-81. Her car was found in the parking lot of Bean and Conquest in Bangor. On 11-20-82, Campbell's skeletal remains were found in a shallow grave in the woods in Holden by a hunter.

Kay Myers Johnson, dob 5-20-06, age 80 at the time of her disappearance, went Missing from her home in Monson sometime between noon on 8-23-86 and 4:00 pm on 8-24-86. Mrs. Johnson had difficulty walking and had poor eyesight. Warden searches were unsuccessful.

William Garlick, dob 3-18-55, and John Joyce, dob 6-15-49, left Worcester, MA on 9-13-82 enroute to Alton, Maine to collect a $22,000 debt. They were operating a black 1980 Corvette, Mass. Registration 512-EVZ. The Corvette was found in the parking lot of the Bangor Mall in Bangor, Maine on 9-14-82. The ignition was torn apart, as well as the interior of the vehicle. A man's wallet, belonging to William Garlick, was found on the seat of the vehicle. John Joyce and William Garlick have not been seen since.

Town: Northeast Harbor
Leslie Spellman, dob 10-4-49, was discovered deceased in Asticou Gardens in Northeast Harbor on 6-19-77. A man on vacation with his family discovered her body on a pathway. Leslie was a yoga teacher from Hingham, Massachusetts and reportedly hitchhiked from Barre, Vermont with her destination being an Ashram Community in Bar Harbor. She was accompanied by a dog which was located about a mile from her body.
