This presentation is designed to provide education about the importance of including clinical and non-clinical personnel as well as students and families to mitigate stigma in pediatric settings. Utilizing this approach can create a welcoming, warm climate for students and families impacted by substance use disorders and/or mental illness.    

Learning Objectives:

1. Provide education about how stigma in pediatric settings impacts patients and families impacted by mental illness and substance use disorders.  
2. Emphasize the importance of providing education and support to clinical and non-clinical personnel.  
3. Provide practical skills to navigate difficult conversations with families and team members.
