Updated Payment Rate Details for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Service Providers, CR 110559

Effective June 29, 2022, we have updated the rate for Sections 65, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services in MIHMS retroactively to January 1, 2022. These rates are now ready to bill.

This rate, announced September 30, 2021, represents another piece of our rate system reform efforts and highlights the Department’s commitment to investing in Maine’s substance use delivery system through increasing the reimbursement rate 89%. Funding for this increase complies with PL 2021, Ch. 398, An Act Making Unified Appropriations and Allocations for the Expenditures of State Government, General Fund and Other Funds and Changing Certain Provisions of the Law Necessary to the Proper Operations of State Government for the Fiscal Years Ending June 30, 2021, June 30, 2022, and June 30, 2023.

Please adjust any claim submitted at the previous rate from January 1, 2022, forward, in order to receive the new increased rate.

Providers will have 120 days from the date of this notice to submit corrected adjustments.
