Section 45, Hospital Services Rate Reform: Updates Following June 11, 2024, Forum

As previously noticed, the Department is conducting a rate determination for Section 45, Hospital Services. In response to additional questions following MaineCare’s June 11, 2024 Hospital rate forum and previous clarifying document, the Department has posted additional updates on the proposed changes, including: 

• Effective Dates for Rate Methodology Changes 

• Provider Based Departments (PBDs) 

• DRG Outlier Formula 

• Graduate Medical Education (GME) Add-On Table - (Correction to previous July 12, 2024, posting)
