Attention Pharmacy Providers Under Title 5

Pharmacy providers whose pharmacy license is under a Title 5 review may use your Title 5 notice to extend your enrollment with MaineCare in MIHMS by six months, and for every six months thereafter, until the Title 5 review is resolved.

Pharmacy providers must complete this update by submitting a maintenance case via the Health PAS Online Portal. Providers can utilize the Provider Maintenance User Guide for a step-by-step guide for submitting a Title 5 Maintenance Case. The guide is found in the Provider Enrollment section of the Health PAS Online Portal. 

To update your license, select the “Title 5 License Extension” from the licensing board drop-down menu and complete the maintenance case as usual. You can use the ALMS website to search for your license, take a screenshot of it, and upload that screenshot with the maintenance case to show the Title 5 status. 

Important Date Information

Please ensure the "Term Date” is six months after the license expiration date. For example, if you submit your Title 5 review and your license ends on June 30, 2024, extend the “Term Date” date out to December 30, 2024. You must repeat this process every six months until the license is renewed. Once the license is renewed, submit another case, putting in the accurate term date of the license.

Providers must submit your license renewals to the Division of Licensing and submit your enrollment maintenance case enough time before the expiration date to ensure you do not have a lapse in your license. Providers must pay attention to your license expiration dates and plan to submit a maintenance case to update that license information at a minimum of 30 days prior to the license expiration date. Providers should account for this when planning and submitting other maintenance cases.

You will not receive reimbursement for services provided to MaineCare members if you fail to renew your license and update it within a maintenance case prior to its expiration date.
