Proof of Identity

Please bring with you two of the following documents for proof of identification. One must indicate your date of birth and the other must bear your written signature.

NOTE: These are all identity documents for a standard credential but only those with an (*) are aceptable to use for the issuance of a REAL ID credential. This list is not all inclusive.

Citizenship Papers	Concealed Weapons Permit
Copy of Marital Application	Court Order
Divorce Papers	Draft Card
Driver Education Card	Driver's License
Driver's Permit	Medical Record from Doctor/Hospital
Military Dependent ID Card	Military Discharge/Separation (DD214)
Military ID Card	Parent/Guardian [Must appear in person and prove his/her identity Applies only to minors)]
Passport*	School Records/Transcript (certified)
Social Security Card	Unemployment Card

In addition to proof of identification, persons seeking to acquire a driver's license or non-driver identification card are required to provide proof of Maine residency and Legal Presence in the U.S.
