Purpose
The State Board of Licensure for Professional Land Surveyors was established to protect the public through regulation of the practice of land surveying in the State of Maine.
The primary responsibilities of the Board are to examine and license qualified applicants for licensure to practice land surveying, to revoke or to refuse to renew any licenses after proper notice and hearing.

LICENSE & RENEWAL INFORMATION
DELIVERY OF RENEWAL REMINDERS AND LICENSES
Renewal reminders and licenses are delivered to licensees via email. The email sender is displayed as “noreply@maine.gov” and the subject is either "YOUR PROFESSIONAL LICENSE IS DUE FOR RENEWAL" OR “YOUR OFFICIAL LAND SURVEYOR LICENSE IS ATTACHED”. Sometimes these notices end up in spam or junk folders so please be on the lookout for them.
Paper licenses will NOT be mailed to licensees with an email address on file with the Board.
You have the opportunity to update your contact information when you renew your license online or you may update your email address and other contact information anytime here.
