CONCISE SUMMARY: This adopted rule implements P.L. 2021, ch. 398, Part A, §A-1, pg. 99 to modify MaineCare estate recovery rules to conform with the minimum mandatory federal requirements, which are set forth in 42 U.S.C. 1396p(b).

Effective January 3, 2022, the Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) has completed a system update to add the Pfizer COVID-19 ready-to-use vaccine codes. Please review the following table for more information.

Attention Home Health and Hospice Services Providers: Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Provider Survey

All Home Health Services under Section 40 and Hospice Services under Section 43 are required to use EVV for services delivered in a MaineCare member's home or in a community-based services setting by January 1, 2023. An EVV system is used to verify the date, time, and site of a visit, as well as services provided and who provided the service. Maine has an open EVV system platform which allows providers to utilize the State-offered EVV system or their own EVV system (an Alternate EVV system) to connect with MIHMS.

Maine Extends Project ACT With New Supply of 50,000 Additional At-Home COVID-19 Tests

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced today that it is extending Project Access COVID Tests (ACT), its partnership with The Rockefeller Foundation to mail free COVID-19 tests directly to Maine people, with an order for 50,000 additional tests, after Maine people claimed the remaining initial supply on Wednesday.
