Beginning October 1, 2024, Maine Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) licenses will be issued and expire at the end of the month following the applicant’s training certification expiration from the entity that provides the board-approved statewide emergency medical dispatch protocols (“the Vendor”).
This change does not impact existing license expiration dates but will be the practice for all new EMD license applications and EMD license renewal applications processed on or after October 1, 2024.
