Maine EMS would like to welcome Dr. Benjy Lowry, MD as the new Region 6 (Midcoast) Regional Medical Director. Dr. Lowry is an ED attending physician at Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport. Dr. Lowry was approved yesterday by the Maine EMS Board.
We would also like to thank Dr. Matthew Opacic for his time as the previous Region 6 Medical Director and all of the efforts he has done with regional and state guidance, education and protocol development. We wish Dr. Opacic well in his transition to working in Florida (and we believe it is because he can't stand to be away from Tom Brady!).
