Attention MaineCare Providers: HealthPAS Online Portal, Provider Services, Member Services Unavailable

This morning, Friday, July 19, 2024, Gainwell became aware that Crowdstrike, a leading security product vendor and supplier for Gainwell, has reported a problem with an update to one of their products. The Crowdstrike problem has affected technology systems worldwide. As a result, the Health PAS Online Portal and the Provider and Member Services call centers are unavailable.

Maine CDC Shares Tips to Prevent Rabies from Bats

As bats become more active during the summer, precautions can limit exposure

AUGUSTA – The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) urges Maine residents and visitors to take steps to prevent contact with bats to avoid possible exposure to rabies. Bats are most active in Maine from July into early September, though bat exposures can happen at any time of year. The Maine CDC encourages people to be cautious around bats, keep a safe distance, and know what to do after exposure to a bat.

This proposed rulemaking is necessitated by the adoption of Public Law 2023, Chapter 412, which is the biennium budget for July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025 that was signed into law by the Governor during the 2023 special legislative session. The budget allocated $5.5 million for Home-Delivered Meals for certain eligible older adults, and this rule operationalizes this service.

The Department is proposing these routine technical changes to align this rule with Maine law (22 MRS § 2706) and further specify the Department’s criteria for determining who may apply and whether an applicant has demonstrated a direct and legitimate interest in the records they wish to receive from the State Registrar.

EVV Providers – Update to Latest Version of the Sandata Mobile Connect (SMC) Application: Revised Phase Out Date

EVV Providers who are currently using the SMC app through their phone, tablet, or other mobile device should update to the latest version of the application using the Apple Store, or Google Play. The current version of the app is now being phased out, effective September 4, 2024. To avoid any interruption of visit record keeping, you should now download the latest version of the app.
