Region G - Fish River Lakes Region
Located in northernmost Maine, the Fish River Lakes Region boasts some of the most robust populations of brook trout in the eastern United States. Anglers visiting here will find excellent fishing for brookies whether they prefer small streams, small ponds, large lakes, or large rivers. One of the most unique features is the opportunity to fish for trout on large rivers. A high-quality experience can be found in the Aroostook River, the namesake for Maine's northernmost County, that flows from the remote woodlands of the North Maine Woods to the farmlands to the east. For anglers seeking a trophy salmonid fish, there are several larger lakes, especially on the Fish River
