Explorer Program Coordinator (Emergency Medical Education Training Coordinator) – Limited Period Position
Professional/Technical Bargaining Unit
Grade/Salary: 25 - $49,836-$67,204
Maine EMS is seeking an EMS education and training professional who can facilitate the creation of a statewide EMS Explorer Program targeted at persons aged 16-24. You would be responsible for drafting rules, policies, and procedures related to the program as well as developing educational content and learning objectives that will be required prior to participation. Maine EMS’s intentions are to give young persons, and others, the opportunity to gain exposure to the EMS system and what it is like to provide pre-hospital clinical care. Giving interested persons the opportunity to explore the career field, within a very narrowly defined scope under direct clinical supervision, prior to making the full investment to become a licensed clinician.
