Applying for Children’s Residential Care Facility Services
CBHS contracts with Acentra to manage Children’s Residential Care Facility Services (CRCF). Children’s Residential Care Facility Services for children follows the MaineCare Section 97 eligibility criteria. Acentra processes all applications and completes Prior Authorizations for Children’s Residential Care Facility Services, and they are your contact related to approval for admissions to Children’s Residential Care Facility.
The Referral Source will complete CRCF applications and upload referral documentation into Acentra’s data base. Applications and supporting documents can also be faxed to Acentra at (866)325-4752. Acentra will determine the youth’s clinical level of care for CRCF services and will provide the Referral Source and/or the Guardians with information regarding prospective Children’s Residential Care Facility programs in their area.
Residential and Community Based Service Providers will work directly with Acentra throughout the CRCF Process. Please contact Acentra with questions at 1-866-521-0027, Option 1. Acentra office hours are M-F 8 am – 6 pm. If you are deaf or hard of hearing and have a TTY machine, call 1-855-810-9728.
