This update replaces the previous instructions to use POS 10 from February 19, 2021. The use of POS 10 has changed and is no longer available to indicate claims submitted for services rendered in the three scenarios listed below. Please use POS 40 instead.

On May 3, 2022, we updated the rates for MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter II, Sections 12, 18, 19, 20, 21, 29, and 96 that are associated with Part AAAA of P.L 2021, ch. 398, retroactively to January 1, 2022. These claims are available for providers to adjust to the higher rate. Please adjust your claims within 120 days of this notice.

Maine DHHS Community Care Team Supports Nearly 30,000 People Affected by COVID-19

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services operates a COVID-19 “Community Care” program that provides wrap-around supports to ensure that everyone in Maine who tests positive for COVID-19 or is a close contact can easily and safely isolate or quarantine, regardless of socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity, language, or other identities.
