In December 2023, Congress passed a law that separated the Medicaid continuous coverage provision from the COVID-19 public health emergency by providing a fixed end date of March 31, 2023 for continuous coverage. The upcoming end of the continuous coverage requirement will bring with it important regulatory changes that will impact eligibility and coverage for MaineCare members.
As previously shared in our January 12, 2023, e-message, the Department has initiated a rate determination process for Section 67 Nursing Facilities (NF) and Section 97, Residential Care Facilities (RCFs, PNMI Appendix C).
MaineCare providers may have experienced intermittent issues today, Wednesday, February 8, 2023, with the Health PAS Online Portal. This may have affected your ability to complete tasks including submitting claims or viewing member eligibility and prior authorizations. The issue has been resolved.
