Accessory Structure Notice and Self-verification

Are you building a garage, barn, shed, or other accessory structure? These structures often do not require a permit, but still must meet certain land use standards. Before beginning construction, property owners must complete this self-verification form indicating that the structure will comply with the relevant rules.

How to complete your notice form:
To complete the Accessory Structure Notice and Self Verification Form, you will need access to the tax plan/lot numbers for your property. This can be obtained on the Maine Revenue Services webpage, town or plantation town office. The process has been successfully completed only when you have entered all of the required information and submitted the form.
