Expiration of A Concept Plan for the Lands of Lowell & Co. Timber Associates in Attean Township and Dennistown Plantation
Zoning Petition ZP 532-F
Last Updated: May 1, 2023
A Concept Plan for the Lands of Lowell & Co. Timber Associates in Attean Township and Dennistown Plantation and the associated Resource Protection subdistrict (P-RP 007) will expire on July 1, 2023. The current major landowner does not wish to renew the Plan. The Commission has therefore begun the process of preparing replacement zoning appropriate for the resources present and the existing development within the Plan area.
The Plan covers an area over 17,000 acres, primarily in Attean Township, and encompasses two mountains (Sally and Attean), major portions of Attean, Wood, Little Big Wood, and Mud ponds, and smaller, remote ponds in Benjamin Valley. Expiration of the Plan will not affect existing development and uses. Additionally, expiration of the Plan will not affect any terms of the permanent conservation easements in place within the Plan area.

Materials relating to the petition will be posted here as they become available. For current zoning, visit the Commission’s Zoning and Parcel Viewer.
