White paper: Maine Needs Quality, Affordable Childcare

The Permanent Commission on the Status of Women in Maine (PCSW) is pleased to release our new white paper, "Maine Needs Quality, Affordable Childcare." Through this paper we seek to amplify the research and advocacy others have done on this issue which is so critical to Maine women and their families, as well as to Maine's business and industry.

We applaud the work the legislature and Governor Janet Mills have done to make childcare more affordable and accessible for families, but we also recognize that more work remains to be done. We look forward to ensuring that high quality, affordable childcare is available to all families in Maine.
