announces recount results for House District 110
AUGUSTA — Mark Andre has been confirmed the winner of the House District 110 Republican nomination, based on the results of a ballot recount conducted today, announced Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap.
In the final tabulation of ballots cast, Andre received 210 votes to candidate Jacob Imes’ 202 votes. District 110 includes the towns of Oakland and Waterville. A recount of the June 12, 2018, primary election results was requested by Imes after unofficial results indicated that he had lost the primary election by 7 votes, 210 to 203.

In a recount, the representatives for each candidate and staff members from the Department of the Secretary of State manually review each ballot to determine the official vote tally. The recount, which is open to the public, took place at the Elkins Building in Augusta on Friday, July 6, 2018.
