REGULATORY FAIRNESS BOARD MEETING JANUARY 22, 2014
Augusta - Maine’s Regulatory Fairness Board will meet on January 22nd from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Secretary of State’s conference room in the Nash School building, which is located on the corner of Capitol and Sewall Street.
The Board is chaired by the Secretary of State and is comprised of four members who are or have been owners or operators of Maine businesses. It is staffed by Maine’s Small Business Advocate, Peggy Schaffer.
The Maine Regulatory Fairness Board (RFB) will be hearing from the Finance Authority of Maine and the Small Business Administration on access to capital by small businesses. Other business the Board will discuss include a review of the annual report to the Legislature and developing a work plan for 2014. The meeting is open to the public, and will be broadcast over GoToMeeting® on the internet.
For those participating via GoToMeeting®, participants will be connected to audio and video of the meeting using their computer's microphone and speakers (VoIP). A headset is recommended. Participants can submit questions via a chat box, which the Board will address during the meeting or assign the Small Business Advocate to gather additional information.
