Secretary of State to Officiate at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Scarborough Bureau of Motor Vehicle Office


SCARBOROUGH - Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap will preside over a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 2pm on Thursday, October 31st at the new Scarborough Branch located at 200 Expedition Drive, Suite G/H in Scarborough. The branch has been open to the public since Monday, October 28th, 2013. Secretary Dunlap will be joined by Representative Amy Volk of Scarborough; Representative Linda Valentino of York, who serves on the Joint Standing Committee on Transportation; Deputy Secretary of State for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles Patty Morneault; and Matt Caron, Director of Operations for Feldco Development Corp.

?We are pleased to be able to serve the public from this new location,? said Secretary Dunlap. ?Our focus is to continually make our customers? experience better, and the Scarborough branch will be more accessible for people and traffic.? I am optimistic that customers will notice a positive difference in our ability to meet their needs.?

The new site is 3.5 miles from the South Portland location and offers easy access from Rt. 1 and the Turnpike, which makes it a convenient location for public transportation.  The office will have adequate on-site parking as well as seating for 59 customers in the lobby.
