Commission to Study the Conduct of Elections in Maine To Hold 3rd Meeting
Secretary of State Charles E. Summers Jr. has appointed 5 members of the commission to study our current election system
Augusta – The Commission to Study the Conduct of Elections in Maine will hold their 3rd meeting on June 15, 2012 at 9:00am at the Secretary of State’s Office.
The Commission, which was appointed by Secretary of State Charlie Summers, has been authorized to study our current election system in accordance with the 125th Maine State Legislature’s Resolve Chapter 133. The Secretary of State will report the Commission’s findings and any recommended legislation for the 126th Legislature, to the Joint Standing Committee on Veterans and Legal Affairs no later than February 1, 2013.
Commission meetings are open to the public.
