A goal of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is to identify a Maine model for CCBHC, reflecting the Department’s commitment to improving health care access and outcomes for people living in Maine, demonstrating cost-effective use of resources, and creating an environment where providers can innovate to deliver high-value care.
Per the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Section 6401, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) providers are required to revalidate your information with MaineCare every three years. The current round of revalidation began in January 2022.
As noted in today’s press release from the Department, this message is to inform you that the Department has issued supplemental payments to Nursing Facilities (NFs) that qualify for an Extraordinary Circumstances Allowance (ECA), as authorized by P.L. 2023, Ch. 412, Part NNNNN.
Payments to approximately 80 facilities to support direct care staff
AUGUSTA— The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced today that it has issued $19 million in one-time Medicaid (MaineCare) payments to Maine nursing facilities to support their continued recovery from the pandemic, particularly for direct care staff who tend to the health and wellbeing of residents.
The EVV requirements for Home Health providers delivering services under Section 40 were implemented on January 1, 2023.
We continue to offer weekly provider and aggregator trainings. All trainings are online via Microsoft Teams.
NOTE: The Absorb training system has been updated to allow providers to register for trainings more than once.
EVV Training Schedule
Billing providers must include the National Provider Identifier (NPI) of an enrolled MaineCare practitioner who is ordering, prescribing, or referring on their claims to receive reimbursement for the categories of services listed below. These practitioners are known as NOPRs and must enroll in MaineCare independently or as part of an organization.
