Attention Providers of Section 17 and Section 92 Services, Hold for Service Referral Provider Training
Kepro, in collaboration with the Office of Behavioral Health, is hosting a training on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 9:00 AM. This training will review the process for submitting a hold for service referral in Atrezzo for members who cannot immediately be served in Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), Community Integration (CI) or Behavioral Health Homes (BHH) services.
Application Fee for 2023 Reminder, CR 114074
Effective January 1, 2023, in accordance with the Centers for Medicare and & Medicaid Services (CMS) application fee requirements, MaineCare’s provider enrollment application fee will increase to $688 per enrollment application. This increase will apply to new, reactivating, or revalidating providers, or when adding new service locations to an existing enrollment. You can pay the application fee by credit or debit card at the time of application submission.

Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Trainings and Forums
The federal deadline to implement the EVV requirements for Home Health providers delivering services under Section 40 and Hospice providers delivering services under Section 43 is January 1, 2023.
With these EVV deadlines quickly approaching, we continue to offer weekly provider and aggregator trainings and forums. All trainings and forums are online via Microsoft Teams.

MaineCare is conducting a rate study for Section 45 of the MaineCare Benefits Manual. This study is being performed by Burns and Associates, a division of Health Management Associates.
MaineCare is holding an online public meeting on December 19, 2022, to obtain important feedback regarding a draft reimbursement model specific to inpatient discharges at distinct psychiatric units and distinct substance use disorder units.
