12.3 Personal Leave

The various bargaining agreements and state policy provide for paid Personal Leave Days for certain state employees. Generally speaking, employees who otherwise are not eligible for overtime (range 22 and above who are exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act) are granted a specific number of paid Personal Leave Days each year on January 1 to be used during that calendar year.
