Education Opportunities

There are state and federal programs that can help pay for the education of veterans and their family members. Maine offers the Veterans Dependents Educational Benefits (VDEB) program, a 100% tuition and fee waiver for spouses and dependents of veterans who have a 100% permanent and total service-connected disability or who meet other eligibility requirements, such as being killed in action. This program is available at schools in the University of Maine System, Maine Community Colleges, and Maine Maritime Academy.
