Determining the Value of Stock Certificates
Determining the value, if any, of your stock certificate may be a difficult process. You may want to contact your local library for copies of the following three manuals to see if the company is listed there: The Robert D. Fisher Manual of Valuable and Worthless Securities, Directory of Obsolete Securities, and Directory of Active Stock.
There are also companies which engage in the business of researching stock certificates. The following are those of which we are aware:
Stock Search International Inc. |
R.M. Smythe & Co., Inc. |
America West Archives |
Paper Chase |
